The Big Sky Pro-Racing Association,
(BSPRA) organized July 2003 as a non-profit community organization in the
State of Montana, recently elected their directors and officers, noted
as follows: Chairman of the Board: Guy Stinger; additional Board Members: Duane Olsen, Brad Lee, Tracy Burland, and Lisa Stinger; Corporate officers: President and CEO Tracy Burland, Vice-President Lisa Stinger, and Treasurer Brad Lee. The
2004 racing season projection calls for an 11-race schedule, featuring
10-Rocky Mountain Pro-Stocks. Seven-out-of-ten of these owner-drivers
are past champions at the Mission Valley Speedway. The
intent of the Rocky Mountain Pro-Stocks as a racing class is to field a
late model division, while avoiding continuously rising costs associated
with unrestricted engines, while serving a quest for innovation in
suspension components. Competing models limited to 1983 or newer
American or Canadian passenger car bodies, among other specified
technical requirements.
At present there are 22 BSPRA members in the group. According to
Tracy Burland, the association’s first corporate executive officer,
“ We feel we’re acting in the best interest of the Mission Valley
racing community, honoring our stated goals and objectives.”
“We are growing in members and sponsors,” he said.
“We look forward to a great season of competitive racing in
2004.” For
