BSPRA HELD
FIRST TECH INSPECTIONS Saturday, May 22nd, 2004
Big
Sky Pro-Racing Association, a racing community recently established in
the Mission Valley, held their first public outing at the Creamery
Mall, Ronan, last Saturday.
Members of the association, along with their new racing class, the Rocky
Mountain Pro-Stock, were available to answer any questions as to
their purpose and racing schedule for this season. Kids
and adults alike enjoyed viewing the cars on display.
The teching area was also open for all onlookers to witness.
In preperation for the BSPRA's inaugural race in
Ephrata, WA next month, this pre-tech inspection took place to
verify that all cars were built to and following the strict rules of
pro-stock racing. Eight Pro-Stock cars attended the tech
inspection, where everything from ride height, transmission, clutch,
brakes, spindles, and steering components were checked. In
addition each car had it's engine pumped for cubic inch size, and was internally
bore scoped (checking pistons, heads ect...).
Even with the threat of showers all day Saturday,
each of the eight Pro-Stocks made it through the teching procedure, just
prior to the rain beginning again. The BSPRA's first race is in
less than two weeks, on June 5th, 2004 at Ephrata Raceway Park, Ephrata,
WA. Come along with us to Washington and cheer on one of your
favorite Mission Valley drivers. Check out our website for more

BSPRA's Mission Statement:
The purpose of forming the Big Sky Pro-Racing Association (Rocky
Mountain Pro-Stock) was simply to establish an association that will
abide by a set of easy to understand, affordable rules that will be
strictly enforced. With that premise in mind, BSPRA shall make
sure that anyone who races in this class is very aware of this
objective, to the extent of signing an affidavit agreeing to such.
