Mission Valley, MT – Big Sky Pro Racing Association (BSPRA) Season Opener – Saturday, May 19, 2007. Rocky Mountain Pro Stocks: Hot Laps: 2 p.m.; Race time: 3 p.m., Mission Valley Speedway, Pablo. Side-by-Side racing. Announcer Lynn Olsen, the fastest mouth in the West, is calling the action; and Pokey, the Outlaw Clown is kicking up dust with Susie his wacko over-powered quad-sidekick. Pits open for fans after the race.

The Big Sky Pro Racing Association (BSPRA), the 50-member Mission Valley home based racing class races late models, with 12-cars available. The BSPRA enjoys a growing history of competitive northwest racing, also have earned a reputation as goodwill ambassadors representing the Mission Valley along the northwest racing circuit. The BSPRA now in its’ fifth season, has five races scheduled this year at Mission Valley Speedway.

BSPRA president, Tracy Burland, reports, “We’re sticking closer to home in 2007, put a break on the gas pump blues.” “We’re offering more opportunities for hometown fans to judge how far our association has come in the last few years.” He said. “We’re growing each season; and welcome new members.”

This Saturday’s roll-out is a gutsy season opener at Pablo’s 3/8 mile tri-oval Mission Valley Speedway. Rocky Mountain Pro Stocks engines roar through the afternoon with bumper-to-bumper hardcore racing and nose-to-nose checker flag battles. Last year offered close racing, in a battle for points. Jarred Burland took top honors, winning by a single point over Wade Shepard, with third place captured by Tracy Burland, six points off Shepard’s second place.             Spotlighting the first race of the season, pro-rodeo clown, Rob Johnston from Hot Springs, joins the pack appearing in a staring role as Pokey the Outlaw Clown –featuring Susie an ATV with an attitude- an amusing act for all ages. Mission Valley favorite Lynn Olsen is dusting off his pipes and will call BSPRA races all season. Be there this weekend when Lynn slips his mouth into gear, so fast his tongue might leave burn marks on the track.

Members of BSPRA invite race fans for a special evening of no-nonsense motorsport racing. Blow out in the pits after the final flag drops: serious competition thrilling entertainment and family fun.
