   Big Sky Pro Racing Association (BSPRA) plans a full day event that combines a Swap Meet, Valley Cruisers Car Club Spring Break, and Outlaw Cart flat-track dirt racing--Saturday, April 23, 2005-- 10 a.m. 'till the final trophy, at the Polson Fairgrounds. Day admission: $2; evening Outlaw Races $5 per head, kids 7 years and under at no charge.

   According to Tracy Burland, president of BSPRA, "Big Sky is pleased to be working in association with the Polson Fairgrounds Association for what we hope will be a long and fruitful relationship." Brian Jones, Managing Director of the Polson Fairgrounds, remarks, "We're happy to host a family friendly event that supports our community, especially during the off season."

   Burland, a person strongly identified with Mission Valley racing, notes "We're trying to bring a new style of racing to the Mission Valley, while supporting a cross-section of public interests."

     Swap Meet: Registration: $35 advance or day-of-event. Set up: 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. -- swapping from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. All categories of venders invited, which includes classic car parts. Advance registration information at 406 261 6592.

   Valley Cruisers Spring Break:  No charge for 2-persons with each show car, all other $2 at the gate. Show time: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Valley Cruisers are inviting regional car clubs to join them at their hospitality tent in order to plan mutual spring and summer cruises and talk shop. According to Jack Bishop, president of the Cruisers, "Our emphasis is on promoting goodwill with car clubs in the region, at the same time informing the public on activities for Cruisin' by the Bay 2005."

   Outlaw Cart Racing:  Hot Laps 1-4 p.m.; Race Starts: 7 p.m.  The Montana Flat Track Racing Association (MFTRA*), founded in 1996, is devoted to promoting Outlaw dirt racing. President of the Missoula based organization, Shawn Wells notes, "It's honest clean fun for the entire family." "We look forward to putting on an exciting show for the people, competing for a $2,000 purse," he said.

   Outlaw carts offer flat-track racing at its best, as competitors sqeeze into showhorn tight chases, riding inches above a gritty floor, powered by 500 c.c. 2-stroke bike engines. The program also includes quad and dirt bike competitions --vehicles powered by 50 c.c. to 750 c.c. engines, racers ranging in age from 4-years to 60 plus.
