Racer jackets should be here this week.
The total pay-out for the year,
to the drivers, is going to be $6900. $3000 in
Calgary, $800 in Ephrata, and $3100 at the Banquet.
If drivers want, they can use $100 of their pay-out
for next year’s membership.
Discussion was held on the
Banquet.
Food: Tracy had talked with Pat McCrea and she
offered to provide and cook a roast, Lisa said that
she would be willing to do the same. It was discussed
that the rest could be potluck. Glacier Brewing may
donate beer.
Location: call on either-Leon, North Crow, Valley
View, Round Butte-to see what dates would be
available.
Auction: Pat said that she would like to donate
items from her store (Expressions from the Heart) to
have a silent auction. Tracy also talked with Ronan
Travel, who would give a discount on a trip, and Ace,
who would donate an item. Everyone is encouraged to
bring any other items good for a silent auction.
Also, to raise money, Tracy suggested having a card
table with a percentage of the pot going to the club. Date: Tentative date set, Saturday, Oct. 2nd
pending availability of location.
We need to get trophies for 1st-2nd-3rd
places.
Stef brought in a sample
certificate that we will make to give to sponsors,
thanking them for their support of BSPRA this season.
They will be able to hang them in their businesses. We
also need to make personal invitations to send to each
sponsor, encouraging them to come to the banquet.
Stef submitted a bill for $113.22
for film and processing, inserts, badges, etc. from
going to Calgary. Lynn moved to pay the bill. Jarred
seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
Race City talked with Tracy about
BSPRA racing there twice in the 2005 season. Everyone
was in agreement with this, and would like one of the
times to be early in the season, possibly as BSPRA’s
opening race. There were a lot of people interested in
the class and in building a car. They were referred to
the web site for more information. There is also a
group from Canada that talked about joining. If they
decided to join, Tracy said that he would be willing
to meet with them at Race City to hand out rule books
and discuss BSPRA. It was discussed that there would
have to be a car pre-inspection set up before any of
the races. There is also the possibility of building a
US/Canadian challenge at Race City running by BSPRA’s
rule book. This would also be beneficial to the
Friendship Trail. Tracy talked about asking Race City
to donate jackets to the racers next year.
Tracy would like to have an idea
of how many races and locations before going to the
promoters meeting in November. Everyone wants to go to
Calgary twice. Will also try to raise a $10,000 purse
for next year.
Next meeting will be Tuesday,
September 14th at 7 p.m. at Plum Creek.
Lisa motioned for adjournment at 8:00 p.m. |
