Present: Tracy Burland, Brad Lee,

Lisa reports that Guy is unable
to make the meeting.
Tracy called the meeting to order at 7:10.
Brad gave the financial report:
$1932.26 in checking account. $1200 out in Accounts
Receivable, $225 tires in possession; total of
$3357.26. New transactions: wrote a check for $113.22
to BlackDog Productions, received $250 from Lynn’s for
sponsorship.
Banquet: Date was set for
October 2nd. Times will be cocktail hour
from 5-7p.m., awards and dinner from 7-8, with
music/cards/etc 8-?
Location will be at North Crow Clubhouse, they charge
$50 with a $100 deposit in order to have alcohol.
All Class Sponsors will be sent a personal invitation
to the banquet.
Dinner: Potluck style dinner. Lisa will donate 8
roasts, and Pat said that she would also make a
couple. All other members will make assorted dishes,
will make a list at the next meeting; Lisa will also
need others to help cook the roasts. Glacier Brewery
will make a deal on kegs.
Card Tables: Poker and Blackjack tables will be set
up, Duane has card tops for both. Heidi will sell the
chips and take care of the money. Heidi will also ask
about a money wheel that she may have access to, if we
do get it, would need to make a board for betting.
Percentage of winnings will be donated to the club
(25%).
Silent Auction: Glacier Brewery will also provide some
caps and t-shirts for the silent auction. Tracy will
do something with the Limo and possibly include a
dinner. Everyone is encouraged to bring any items they
would like to donate.
Awards: Tracy talked with A & R Trophy’s. Trophies for
the top 3 places will be $108. Wade moved to order the
trophies. Josh seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
Total Screen Design is making the championship jacket;
this is their sponsorship for the year.
Music: Lisa is going to check on possibility for a
band. If one is not available, will use the pa system
to play music.
Mark, the editor for the Lake
County Leader, wants to support the Friendship Trail
more. He asked for a list of goals for the Friendship
Trail within 2 weeks.
Montana State Chamber and Tourism
Board want a presentation on the Friendship Trail.
Walter and Bill Olson are working on this.
Tracy discussed expansion of the
Friendship Trail to include Canadian Days in Polson
sometime in the fall. This would be a weekend where
the Polson businesses would possibly take Canadian
money for par, without the exchange rate (like having
a percent off sale). Kwa Tuq Nuk has shown interest in
giving special room rates. Polson Business Community
also wants to be involved.
The race in Calgary made 10
publications. Walter will have tapes ready by the
banquet. They will be around $15-20.
Penticton Speedway has a group of
late model type cars that are interested in possible
US/Canadian challenge. They are located approximately
50 miles further than Calgary. They have 32 cars
listed and rules are posted on their web site:
www.pentictonspeedway.com . Tracy will talk more
with them.
Bruce at Sign Pro has a couple of
designs for bumper stickers for next year.
Next meeting will be September
28, at 7 p.m. at Plum Creek. At this meeting, Lisa
will bring the roasts to hand out for help cooking
them and a list of dishes will be made.
