August 23, 2007
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 by Guy Stinger. The location was
Wade Shepard’s shop. Also
present were Wade and Traci
Shepard, Lisa Stinger, Tracy
Burland, Josh Burland, Danny
Krahn, Lynn Olsen and Duane
Olsen.
Minutes were read and approved from the last meeting.
Financial reports were distributed to the members.
Tracy
reported on a call he had
received from
Spokane
Raceway
Park
promoter Rick Rice. Rice had
gotten a call from the promoter
of Mission Valley Speedway,
Corky Sias, to the effect that
we (BSPRA) were not a viable
show, and that SRP would be
better served if they did not
put us on their schedule.
Tracy
explained that our show
consists of 8 to 10 cars of
limited late model
configuration, and that we
bring our own officials,
announcer, and supply our own
purse. Rice said that the date
of September 8 is still on the
schedule for the Rocky Mountain
Pro Stocks.
Due to the anger generated by the call to
Spokane,
we decided not to race the
scheduled race at Mission
Valley Speedway on August 25.
At this time, it looks like we will be able to take 10 cars to
Spokane.
Wade had taken his motor out to freshen it up, and we inspected it, and
put a new seal on it. The 4 car
should be ready to race in
plenty of time.
The 6 car needs the most work to get ready, due to the flywheel
explosion in June. Jarred’s
hobby motor is available, but
it needs a little work. Wade
said he would get it ready, and
install it. Others said they
would help when they can.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:30
