  August 2, 2007  Meeting Minutes

August 2, 2007

The meeting was called to order at 7:10 by Guy Stinger. Also present were Lisa Stinger, Courtney Stinger, Tracy Burland, Josh Burland, Heidi Trytten, Bill Moore, Brad Lee and Duane Olsen.

Josh bought two tires for $150 and Tracy bought four tires for $300.

Brad delivered a letter stating that he could not support the Mission Valley Speedway due to their allowing Bill Flesh and the Renegade Racing team on the premises. They were in the pits and on the track at the June 16th race. After much discussion, it was decided to draft a letter to Mission Valley Auto Racers that we will require a written guarantee that they will not be on the premises for the MLLMS race scheduled for August 25, or we will cancel said race. Due to continued nitpicking and harassment by James Cammerer, he also will have to be excluded from the premises. It was decided to cancel the last regular race scheduled for September 8 at MVS and reschedule that date in Spokane. If MVAR has a problem with the written guarantee, the August 25th race will also be in Spokane.

Duane asked if there is any way to bring in a new driver at this point in the season without losing our credibility. According to our rules, it is too late. We decided to table the discussion on it and Duane will contact all the drivers to tell them that will be deciding on this at the August 9th meeting. If they want any input on this issue, they will need to be at that meeting.

Due to lack of cars running at heat and main time on July 28th, they were not run. We did however run a 10 lap shoot-out with the four cars that were left.  At that time we did not concern ourselves with the points that may or may not be awarded. We decided that because it was not a heat or main, we just ran for the trophy, no points were awarded.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:20
