Chuck Morigeau Guy called the meeting to order at
7:15.
Brad is unable to attend.
Tracy gave the financial report
Tracy talked to Chuck Minor. He is getting close to
having his car done, will let us know this weekend if
he will be making it to race. If he is not ready to
race, he is still planning on coming over to watch.
We have 8 tires still in stock, don't need to order
more at this time.
Tickets: Tracy talked with Don about buying passes.
They haven't said if the Modifieds are running yet:
this will change the front gate price if they do; $8.50
normal or $10 with Modifieds. They still have the early
price of $5. Tracy asked if we could get some tickets
ahead of time to hand out to sponsors, MVAR said that
we would have to buy them the day of the event.
Radio Ads are paid for but are still being designed.
Danny will make banners for the cars to set around the
valley the week of the race. It was decided to get one
made per car. Danny is donating all labor, just have to
pay for supplies.
Poster: Have a poster designed to hang at businesses.
Gull Printing will print them. Tracy got a quote for
250/$112. Lisa motioned to have Gull print 100 posters.
Tim seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
Hat/Flags: It was decided to have 2 hats per driver
that they would then sign and give out to kids during
driver introductions Each driver would also give $5
toward a prize and the kids that have the hat signed by
the winner of the main would each get half the money
Lisa motioned for the club to buy 4 quantities of
pinwheels and 2 dozen hats. Tracy seconded. Motion
passed unanimously.
Seals for Heads were discussed. Tracy has looked
into these. This involves a cable that goes into a lead
fixture. They are 50 seals for $125 and are numbered so
that they wouldn't be able to remove. It was agreed
that this would be a good option to ensure fair and
equal competition and show professionalism within the
organization. Lisa motioned to order 50 seals. Tim
seconded. Motion passed uanimously.
Next meeting will be August 25th, 7 p.m., Plum
Creek.
