Tracy volunteered to chair the meetings until we elect officers. Tracy has had discussions with banks and others regarding what would happen if the MVS track goes under. If there is another association that is its equal, they could bid to lease the track.

Questions were raised on funding. Stageline Pizza said they would sponsor $1000 for points fund. They’ll send out pizzas, anyone who gives autographs and takes it into Stageline will get $2.00 off pizza; Signal TV - $500, Radio Shack - $500, Duane Olsen Trucking - $250, Ray’s Auto - $250, Mr. B’s Limo Service- $250, Total Screen Design- Champion Jacket, Lynn’s I & II - $500 and trophy’s, Rocky Mountain Signs - $1000, ($4250 signed/committed total sponsorship so far).

All concerned about local. Website - Tracy visited with the sales manager at Kwa Taq Nuk, they would sponsor and set-up for $250. Jim Oates would oversee bookkeeping, Carol Cunningham will do bookkeeping, Raeann Campbell will do secretary and recording, Dave Humphrey will also provide legal services with the same deal he had given MVS when he provided legal services there. Walter Simon will come on and handle all of our media. Television said we have the same opportunity as any of the other tracks.

Tracy came up with 32 possible member names at this point. Looking at putting plastic nose and plastic tail on hobby stocks moving up, get them lower to the ground. We would have to have a ten car show.

Unanimous in the room that everyone would like to move forward with this.

Brad Lee motioned to amend the proposed bylaws regarding terms of office: The first position term will be five years and then yearly afterward. After the first election of officers, the board will determine which positions will be up at the 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 year terms. Thirteen voted for with one opposed (Wade Shepard).

Lynn Olsen motioned that nominations will be held 30 days prior to the election. Motion passed unanimously.

Tracy asked if everyone was prepared to elect officers and board members tonight. Two members asked to think about it. There are several people who are not here.  Elections postponed until August 7th meeting.
