Guy called the meeting to order at
7:30.
Wade gave the financial report: $1320.71 in checking
account. Valley Journal receipt for $60 for kart ad.
Tracy received back the deposit from PFI. Bill from
Total Screen for the shirts totaled $1240.
Tires: need to order by next week
to get them here before leaving for Port Angeles. Duane
has paid for 2 and would like to pay for one more
tonight. There is currently $283 paid for tires, so
that is showing a negative balance currently.
Lisa has brought a sponsorship
check from S&K Electronics for $200.
Cory White talked after the race
at MVS about having BSPRA race on their schedule more.
He asked about our next meeting and coming to it. Dates
were discussed but it was decided to wait and see if we
here from them, and would then decided if want to race
there more at that time.
Walter talked with the owner of
the Port Angeles newspaper and is going to visit with
the sports editor on Friday before the race.
CD: Walter and Lynn will make the
appointment within the next week. The Radio Station
will bill us afterwards. Walter will contact Rich to
set up the time. Tracy would like to make copies to
give to our class sponsors and to send to the out of
town tracks for promotional uses. Need to get an
updated list of sponsors on the web site and updated
for the cd recording.
Walter would like to get any video
from the race as he now has the editing program at home
now and will compile a video for the year.
Rule Books: Lisa is working on.
Need to send 5-10 to Port Angeles, along with an
invite, for any of their drivers that are thinking
about racing with us. Their cars must meet our rules
and we would inspect them on either Thursday or Friday.
Lisa will get some done by Tuesday and get to Tracy.
Walter will meet with Tracy on Wednesday to write the
letter and get them sent out. Will also need to find
out how many racers are interested and how many tires
need to be ordered for them.
Duane suggested a proposal for
MREC as they have their meeting next week. It was
decided to see how many came to the kart race with the
free passes that were sent out and get feedback from
them. If they are receptive, will then work on a
proposal for dirt racing.
Next meeting will be June 8th.
