Guy called the meeting to order at
7:10.
Brad gave the financial report: $561.43 in checking
account; $2250 asset tires; Net Income of $2550.97;
Racing event brought in $2903 plus $135.50 raffle.
Tires will be here on Friday May
20th. There is concern about the tires
getting here on time. For the race in Ephrata, we
definitely need 8 tires-4 for Dan and 4 for RJ. Between
tires that were bought last year, there are enough for
the first race.
Tech was done on May 7th.
Four cars are done teching and Chuck Morigeau partially
done-got weighed and measured but need to tech the
engine. Malcome Kruse talked with Chuck Reese when he
was up hot lapping in Kalispell and was interested in
the class.
The next tech will be Sunday, May 15th at
Wade’s at 1 p.m.
New Business:
Need to talk with Ephrata about doing heats first, then
the trophy dashes. With more than 10 cars, we break
into 2 races.
Question on the rule book:
Cylinder heads OEM- must be original unless otherwise
stated in the rule book. Intent: Max valve 205, vortec
into 205 would have to cut out. Head Tech committee
determines definitions. The rule book also states that
“If this rule book does not specifically state that you
CAN alter, change, or otherwise modify something on
your car, you should consider it a violation of these
rules to do so.”
Ephrata has a couple of street
stock that want to run with us. To race with BSPRA, the
drivers must fill out application and must be teched
beforehand. They were asking about a one time
membership waiver, it was made clear that the
membership waivers are a case by case basis. They would
have to run on American Racer tires and must fit all
the rules, close isn’t close enough, don’t know if they
have a plastic nose and tail. To fill out a membership
application, it must be filled out have time to vote on
at the next meeting. Lisa motioned that we don’t have
enough time to get their applications, vote on them and
get their cars teched before the races. Will tell them
that they have the option of bringing their car to the
Ephrata track to possibly tech if have time and to meet
the drivers and they could look at racing with us in
Pinticton. Wade seconded the motion. Motion passed
unanimously.
Ace is giving product for the Dash
and Main Event winners. Napa has a yellow light for the
pace car at $300. Jarred will talk to Kirk to see if he
has one.
Next meeting will be Tuesday May
24th, 7 pm, at Plum Creek.
Josh motioned to adjourn at 7:50. Traci seconded.
Meeting adjourned. |
