The
meeting was called to order at 7:25
by Tracy Burland. Also present were
Wade Shepard, Traci Shepard, Danny
Krahn, Carrie Benson, and Duane
Olsen. Danny Krahn, Traci Shepard,
and Richard Jones paid their
membership dues. Later
Brittany Nordberg made application
for, and was accepted and paid for
membership. We now have 21 paid up
members. Other regular members are
urged to do so soon.
Tracy
will do live radio spots for the
May 19th race, and we
will put out a press release to the
newspapers to get the word out
also. It was left up to Tracy’s
discretion on paid ads for
Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
morning. We allocated up to $200
for these.
Carrie will make up some posters to
distribute throughout the area
advertising the race. In all of the
ads, it will be emphasized that the
time trials are at 2pm and the
racing begins at 3 pm. We have
heard from people that they didn’t
know they were early starts in May.

The
meeting was then adjourned, and
Wade, Traci, Tracy, and Duane went
to Tracy’s shop to inspect the
engine for the 00 car. No rules
violations were found, so the
engine was sealed. The car then
will be roll teched at the track on
race day.
