Guy called the meeting to order at 7:15.

Minutes will be approved through email.  

Financial Statement: Checking account balance $1541.05. Total Income of $6125 ($575 membership dues, $5550 Sponsorship). Total Expenses $1283.95 (equipment expense of $1001.95 for scales, bank charges $12, Dues $40 for Polson Chamber of Commerce, Postage $70 for P.O. Box, Program Expense $140 for promoters meeting, Office Supplies $20). Total assets $4841.05. Goods sponsored will be included in the total assets.  

Chuck Reese is attending meeting and is interested in racing, helping with cars and possible relief driver.  

Discussion was held on driver's dues. The drivers that have been contacted said that either option previously discussed would work for them.

Motion: Duane moves to pay $75 to register the cars. All drivers must be a general member ($25). The $75 will go into the points fund.  

 Motion passed unanimously. Must have the car registered and paid by the first race.

Equipment: Duane has ramps about done. He has sponsored them at approximately $250. He will get them to Tracy.

Scales should be here on Friday.  

Sponsorship Placement: All sponsors with be placed on the front fenders, between front tire and car number on both sides. Tracy will take his car over to Danny so he can do the placement with his computer.  

Tracy has talked with Ronan Hospital, $500, and Mack Days, $500, about sponsorship for the Calgary race. He will try and finalize this. They would make the purse total $2000. 

Tech Day: Tentative date set for May 22nd. Need to talk with owners at the Creamery Mall to finalize. Possible live radio broadcast.  Duane will make a check list of everything that needs to be teched for the cars to be ruled legal for the class. The Creamery Mall has stated that they want all of the cars there on display 4th of July weekend.

Need to make membership cards. 

Posters and Rulebook: We have a logo for the top of the posters and use on the front of the rulebook. Sponsors will go around the dates on the poster and on the back of the rulebooks. Stuart's (Ronan) and Missoula Napa will be included in the sponsors on the rulebook. Wade had sold them ads last year for the MVAR rulebook, they never got printed and Wade wanted to honor his commitment. Need to include the Canadian flag on the logo. 

Tires are about a week out. Will talk with drivers and see how many need to be ordered. 

Next meeting will be May 12th, 7:00 p.m., at Plum Creek.
