Guy called the meeting to order at
7:15 p.m.
Wade gave the financial report:
Bills that were paid: Seal Kit $94; Insurance $518.75;
Duane $24;
Duane paid for 2 tires: $150. Sponsorship paid by
Janice Olsen Enterprizes: $250
Bill submitted from Gull Printing for $60 for the kart
posters. Carrie moved to pay the bill. Guy seconded.
Motion passed unanimously.
Bales: Duane has enough for the
races from Charlie Mangles. There is about 150+ and he
just wants them hauled away.
Equipment: Tracy will try to get
it there sometime this week. Wade is working in Polson
and could possibly work on the track after work.
Vets: Tracy will contact again. He
has talked with Jack and he will for sure be there with
the BBQ but need to see if they are going to be able to
present the flags. He also has a leveler if we want it.
Tires are the same as last year:
$75 each.
Advertising in the local papers
was discussed. Wade motioned to run an ad for the Kart
race in both local papers. Duane seconded. Motion
passed unanimously.
T-shirts have been ordered and
should be ready by the 27th.
Passes: Ace Hardware-gave 4 last
year for give-aways. Chief of Police: will have
officers there.
Lisa has tech sheet done. Duane
has his engine sealed and got the jig built. Will need
1/8 inch drill bit.
Discussed writing a proposal to
the events center. This would be the same type proposal
as at PFI for possible kart, motorcycle and ATV races.
Have some people asking about
having rookie races in the motorcycle and ATV divisions
at the fairgrounds. There are some kids that have never
raced before and parents that would like them to be in
less aggressive group. Tracy thinks that this should be
fine and we will have to talk with Shawn.
Need to watch people going from
the stands to the pits. Will set up for tickets at the
main gate so don’t have to worry about people driving
in and not paying.
Lisa will get some rule books done
before the races.
