Guy
called the meeting to order at 7:15.
Minutes
are unavailable and will be approved online.
Financial
statement was unavailable.
Old
Business: Kalispell turned down proposed races, but
want to keep in touch in the future. Their driver
meeting is in April; Tracy, Guy and Lisa will try to
attend to see about practice nights on Wednesdays
throughout the year.
Sponsors:
Polson Chamber, KTN, Nickel Cars, and Polson Golf
Course have verbally agreed to sponsor, but have been
unable to get signed contracts. After all sponsors are
signed, there will be discussion of where the decals
will be placed on the cars and the layout for the
rulebook.
Duane
was concerned about being able to have a plastic nose
and tail from different body styles for the one year
integration of the metal bodied cars. If the car was
going to stay in the class after that one year, then
they would have to be of one body style. Josh motioned
that it be acceptable to have the nose and tail from
different style for that one year, as long as the car
lines conform. Motion passed unanimously.
Ronan
Travel will sponsor $100.
KTN
would still like to have the cars displayed there on
Friday before going to Calgary. They will let us stay
there for $35-$45 a room.
S
& K Electronics will sponsor $500.
Membership
application for Janice Olsen. Guy asked if there were
any objections to the application. There were none.
Lisa made a motion to accept Janice as a member.
Passed unanimously.
Discussion
was held on the rule book. Chuck had a concern with
the wording of a rule: "Competing Models are
limited to 1983 or newer ... car bodies."
He stated some cars that are moving up from
hobbies are older body styles. Lisa made a motion to
change the wording to include: "limited to 1983
or newer ... bodies, excluding first year steel bodied
cars." Motion passed unanimously.
Discussion
was held on the purchasing of scales. It was decided
last meeting that the membership money would be used
to purchase club equipment. Duane was wondering if the
Drivers would want to put in the other $75 dollars (of
the original membership dues) to go toward purchasing
so that the club wouldn't have to get a loan. Scales
average around $1000. There is currently $550 in
memberships. If the drivers would be willing to pay
the extra, there would be approximately $1150 to go
toward equipment. The drivers will be contacted for
the next meeting.
Need
to talk with drivers to find out how many tires they
want so they can be ordered. The cost is $75 per tire.
Next
meeting will be March 18th, 7:00 at Plum Creek.
Motion
for adjournment at 7:45.
