Guy called the meeting to order at
7:10 p.m.
Brad gave the financial report: Checking balance
$1400.75, AR $3595.00, Total assets $6232.45
Minutes from the last meeting were approved.
Old Business:
Swap Meet: Tracy will be on with Monty Turner,
channel 13 NBC, on April 21st , 6:45 a.m.,
to talk about the Swap Meet.
Tracy has the flyers for the meet
that people can take to hang around the valley.
Wrist bands: Tracy found a
supplier that is $38 per box with 1000/box. It was
discussed that would just have a stamp for the swap
meet with the bands for the race. We would also be able
to use these wrist bands to identify BSPRA members and
racers at other tracks. Josh motioned to order 2 boxes
of wrist bands. RJ seconded the motion. Motion passed
unanimously. Courtney stated that she could get a stamp
to use for the front gate.
Discussion was then held on giving
passes out for the outlaw race. Jarred wants to buy 4
passes for a give away. Tracy will talk with other
businesses and the radio station to do give-aways over
the radio with the business named as the sponsor of the
tickets. We would still get the money for the tickets
and would be good promotion. Need approval from the
radio station so that they know that we would’ve gotten
pre-paid.
Promotional free passes: 10 passes to AlanK (radio), 10
to Monty Turner (channel 13), 10 to channel 8. Lisa
motioned for this amount of passes. Josh seconded.
Passed unanimously.
Sponsor passes: Lynn motioned to
give 4 free passes to each sponsor (Napa, Budweiser,
Wholesale Fireworks, Anderson Broadcasting) and passes
to the PFI board of directors and to the Chamber of
commerce board. Lisa seconded. Motion passed
unanimously.
Outlaw cars will be displayed
throughout town, hopefully at Walmart, Super 1, Ace,
Napa. Will give them the same amount of tickets to give
away.
Booth sizes: Tracy has talked with
people that have done other swap meets and most sizes
are 20 X 24 feet. Dennis Devries has offered to help
and thinks that he would be able to borrow the chalk
from the high school to mark out booths. We would then
need flags to mark the borders and a larger flag with
the booth number on it. Have planned to meet at the
fairgrounds on March 26th for layout plans.
Will have 4+ cars for a race of
champions. Will draw names and the first gets their
pick of which car they want to drive, then will have
Calcutta with the crowd. Drivers can hot lap from 1-4.
Tracy has a map of the fairgrounds
that we will get on the web site. Will also set up so
that people can register and pay on-line with a mark on
sold spaces.
Next meeting we will get a list of
workers needed. PFI will help where ever needed.
We have not received an answer
from either the tribal council regarding racing on
Fridays or from MVAR regarding their schedule.
New Business: Tracy passed around
the inspection sheet that was used last year and asked
for any additions for this year. Inspection date was
set as May 7th. RJ stated that he has the
form saved on his computer and will make the changes.
Tracy was approached with proposal
of helping with a burn-out contest in conjunction with
the Cruiser’s car show August 13th. It would possibly
be held on Main Street in Ronan on Sunday afternoon.
Would need a rail system to keep the crowd back. Other
suggestions were to have concrete blocks around the car
to prevent car from loosing control.
Memberships are due. Members
currently paid: Tom Bartel, Kirk Bartel, Jake Paul,
Jarred Burland, Lynn Olsen, Josh Burland, Wade Shepard,
Traci Shepard, Shirley Burland, Carrie Benson, Lisa
Stinger, Guy Stinger, Chuck Reese (gen + driver), Brad
Lee, Duane Olsen
Lynn had questions with some of
the wording in the rule book regarding coil overs. Wade
read from the rule book and some of the wording is
confusing so clarifications were made and will be added
to the rule book.
Next meeting will be March 24th
7 p.m. at Plum Creek.
Lisa motioned for adjournment at
