  March 15, 2007  Meeting Minutes

March 15, 2007

Guy called the meeting to order at 7:10. Also in attendance were Tracy, Courtney, Lisa, Lynn, Butch and Duane.

Minutes of last meeting and Financial Report were read and approved.

Bill was presented by Duane for $100 for repair and freight on the scale controller. It was voted to pay the bill.

Tracy reported on contacts he has made for selling the pre-sold tickets to the Sprint Karts races. The Polson baseball group thought it would be great to do, but have already committed to selling candy, but for the All-Star game at the end of the season, they may try it to raise money for new uniforms. Other organizations have expressed interest, but we have not received a firm commitment from them yet.

Duane reported that the Plains fairgrounds manager will get back to him early next week, and that they may be getting a new system. If so, the system they are using now may be available quite reasonable.

The manager of Spokane Raceway Park informed Tracy that a September 15th date would probably work fine. Details will be worked out soon.

Mission Valley Auto Racers wants the board of Big Sky Pro Racing Assn to come to their meeting next Wednesday to discuss the rules for the Montana Limited Late Model Series races. The signed agreement we have with them states that we have the responsibility for rules, officiating, and promoting. If MVAR is not willing to abide by this agreement, we are of a consensus that there will be no MLLS.

The rules for the MLLS were proof-read and corrections were made. Lisa will get the final draft made, and about 20 copies will be printed. All drivers who apply to race and are accepted will be given a set of rules. One set will also be given to MVAR’s  representative so he can inform any and all of their interested racers as to the criteria of the race.

Butch has names of three possible people who may have small square bales that we can get for the Sprint Kart race. He will check into this and report back at a later meeting.

Guy reminded everyone that now is a good time to pay your dues.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:45.
