Meeting was called
to order at 7:10 by Guy. Also present were Tracy,
Butch, Courtney, Jarred, Lisa and Duane.
Minutes and
financial report were read and approved.
Chuck Swope filled
out an application for membership. The vote was
unanimous to accept. Welcome aboard Chuck.
Pictures of the
ride-along car were passed around so everyone
could see the progress that is being made on it.
It will be ready for engine and transmission
soon.
LLC designation is
pretty much in place.
Duane reported that
Quantum Race Products had called about repairing
the scales controller, and they should be fixed
soon and sent back.
Tracy
reported on ticket sales for the Kart race. Ronan
and Polson schools both thought they would have
groups that could use it for fund raisers. The
Ronan and Polson baseball organizations, the Big
Brothers/Big Sisters and local Fire Departments
were also interested. S&K Electronics is
interested in doing a corporate sponsorship, as
are a couple other businesses. It looks like this
will be a very good way to put people in the
bleachers and generate revenue. We haven’t been
able to find a program on our home computers to
print tickets with progressive numbers, so Gull
Printing is going to give us a quote on them.
Tracy
talked to the new manager of Spokane Raceway Park
concerning a BSPRA race there this year. He was
receptive to the proposal of us paying our own
purse of $200/car and they charge nothing for car
and driver into the pits. Pit crew would pay
regular price. We will run under our regular
rules, as opposed to the Limited Late Model
Series rules. Also there is free camping at the
track. We decided to go forward with this
proposal and try to get a race on September 15.
The manager at
Wal-Mart will let us know in the next few days
what type of sponsorship they will do on the
Montana Limited Late Model series. He has been
gone for 3 weeks and it will take a few days to
get caught up on things.
Community Bank has
agreed to loan us enough money to buy 20 one way
driver’s radios, 3 two-way officials’ radios, and
a new bore scope. The five board members will
sign the note, with repayment scheduled for 3
yearly payments after the race season is over,
and the money should be in our account on
Tuesday, Mar 6. Tracy will get with Ben Sharbono
of the Montana Flat Track race group to make the
order.
Due to the Montana
200 in Kalispell being run on the weekend of July
21, the race that we had scheduled on that date
at Mission Valley Speedway will be changed to
July 28. MVS will not be open that night.
Meeting was
adjourned at 8:10.
