February 6, 2008
The meeting was called to order at 7:10 by Guy Stinger. Also present
were
Tracy,
Wade,
Traci,
and
Duane.
The minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
The financial statement was the same as last meeting.
Seven memberships were paid for: Guy, Lisa, and Courtney Stinger, Tracy,
Shirley,
and
Josh
Burland,
and
Duane
Olsen.
Guy brought samples of some Pit Stop maps. They looked pretty good. As
businesses
buy
ads,
their
locations
will be
high-lighted
on
them.
February 23 has been confirmed with the Branding Iron for the Karaoke
contest,
but the
judging
has not
been
finalized
yet.
Funding for the contest:
$400
for the
trip to
Las
Vegas.
(The
Navigator
is
providing
an
additional
$200.)
$100
for
spending
cash
$250
to the
music
provider
$250
for
advertising
This makes a total of $1000. Entry fee is $25 each, so if we get 40
entries,
we will
break
even.
Tracy
reported
that
Zip
Beverage
in
Missoula,
the
distributor
of
Budweiser
products,
will
sponsor
$700 in
value
for the
current
year.
$500
will be
in
cash,
the
rest
will
consist
of
posters,
race
jacket
etc. We
agreed
to put
a
“Chelada”
sticker
on each
race
car.
Chelada
is a
new Bud
product
of Bud
Light
and
Clamato
combined.
The poster that Carrie made was approved, but before it will be printed
by Zip
Beverage,
we will
have
Tracy
Olsen
proof
read
it.
Duane had a question on the by-laws, in particular Article III, Section
2,
which
states
anyone
involved
must be
16
years
of age.
This
was
clarified
as in
order
to
drive,
one
must be
16.
Duane said he will get the new membership cards printed up soon.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:00
