November 28, 2007
Guy called the meeting to order at 7:15. Also present were Lisa,
Courtney,
Tracy, Shirley,
Wade, Traci and Duane.
Tracy
reported on the
correspondence
with the owner
of the
Pocatello
track, and the
WARPA meeting.
Pocatello
is interested
in having us
there, and gave
10 dates that
would work
there. Their
age limit to
get into the
pits is 16.
At the WARPA meeting, he talked to the managers of Ephrata,
Port Angeles,
and
Post
Falls
tracks. All
were agreeable
to us racing at
their track.
Most are
willing to pay
80% of the back
gate back to
the racers. Our
group would
sign in on a
separate sheet,
and whatever
they collected
from everyone
in our group,
they would pay
back 80%.
Dennis Anderson of Anderson Broadcasting is involved in raising money
and food for
the animals at
the shelter. He
asked
Tracy
if BSPRA could
help out at
all. It was the
consensus that
this is a very
worthy cause,
and Dennis has
been very
helpful to us
many times in
the past. Wade
moved, and Lisa
seconded a
motion to
contribute $100
to the Lake
County Animal
Shelter. The
motion passed.
Courtney Stinger is going to
Europe
in the summer
of 2008, on an
educational
trip through
the school.
Each student is
required to
raise a quite a
bit of money,
so Traci moved,
and Shirley
seconded a
motion to
contribute $100
to her travel
fund. The
motion passed.

Tracy
figured the
fuel expense to
travel to all 5
races would be
about $1500 per
car. The
farthest away
would pay
proportionally
more than the
closer ones.
Depending on
how much
sponsorship we
car raise will
determine how
much purse we
can pay.
There are a number of possible drivers that might be available for cars
needing one, on
a permanent or
part time
basis. Some
that we are
aware of have
been notified,
and others will
be, to come to
a meeting and
get approved
and buy a
membership.
The idea of a Christmas party was discussed. Duane called the booking
agents of Leon
Hall, and they
said the 21st
and the 22nd
of December are
both open.
We will meet next Wednesday to confirm the dates for the race schedule
and the party.
Meeting was adjourned at 8:30.
